In the end I decided that I was happy with the LG and would rather spend the extra $50 on getting a nice monitor arm (another suggestion from trusty Ben). I spend alot of time on the computer and I feel slow response times really fiddle with my sense of vision. I'm not a particular fan of seeing multiple cursors when it moves across the screen very quickly. However, I suppose if 5ms is fast enough that it won't show multiple cursors, I would keep it. :-) Along the lines of what Tiffany's saying: you don't get rich by spending money!
